Day 5 2024 Animal Spirit Medicine

Day 5:  Ccochahuasi Animal Sanctuary , Llamas and Alpacas & Pisac Market

(Thursday, June 27)

Morning circle with Michael discussing our connection to animals and their importance to us and the planet.  Get in touch with your animal spirit guide for the day.

We will travel to Ccohahuasi Animal Sanctuary.  A special place where we can experience the magic of our relationship with our wild animal brothers and sisters.  And help this special sanctuary along the way.

We will have a special “Animal Spirit” blessing from our Animal Spirit Talker Jimmy Cabanillas Saavedra and then meet and volunteer with rescued indigenous wildlife.

Fancy a monkey on your shoulder?  Have a condor with an 11-foot wingspan fly over your head?  Be within a few feet of a majestic puma?  You’ve come to the right place!

Short stop at Awana Kancha, a Llama / Alpaca preserve, (time permitting) to get up close and personal with these adorable animals.  This will be the setting for the “Best Alpaca Selfie” contest… group voting that night!

On to Pisac to visit the famous colorful open-air market or (optional) visit to the ruins of Pisac (on your own).

Lunch on your own in Pisac.

Dinner and overnight at Mountain House.

CCOCHAHUASI ANIMAL SANCTUARY

An opportunity to feel the connection to our animal brothers and sisters.  Meet indigenous animals who have been injured or abused and are now living in this beautiful setting.  Experience the thrill of having a condor fly over your head (with a 11-foot wingspan!).  Possible bottle feeding of young alpacas.

We will have a special blessing with Animal Spirit Talker Jimmy Calabassas as we tune our frequencies to these animal souls.

We will have the special honor of providing a few hours of volunteer service to this wonderful family who own / run this sanctuario and the amazing animal residents here.

We will also have the privilege of surprising them by presenting donations that we have collected from friends and family back home.

A stop at Awana Kancha, a nearby Alpaca sanctuary, with an opportunity to see several different species and get up close to feed them.

Then on to Pisac market – a thriving market for an opportunity to purchase some souvenirs and gifts.  Visit the ruins of Pisac on your own (optional).

Pisac ruins are built on rows of fine stone terraces with panoramic views of the Andes mountains.  The main Temple of the Sun is built on a huge protruding spur of volcanic rock, carved into a “hitching post for the sun” or Inti.  There are also baths, altars, water fountains and a ceremonial platform.

The market is a lively and bustling place selling gifts and food.
