Itinerary Overview 2019

Day 1  (Saturday June 22)

Arrive in Cusco.  Transfer to hotel (A taxi driver will be waiting outside of the terminal holding a sign with your name on it).  We recommend resting for the remainder of the day to adjust to the altitude. 4:00 opening Circle with group followed by a sacred Despacho ceremony with Q’ero Paco (Shaman) Luis.  Hosted dinner at Shaman Vegan restaurant with a special greeting by Shaman Mallku.

Overnight:  Casa de la Gringa.

Day 2   (Sunday, June 23)

Tour sacred sites of Cusco – Sacsayhuamán, Tambomachay Water temple, Qenko and Qoricancha.  For those interested in buying jewlery Mercedes will bring some samples to the hotel for you to see what is available. (trusted merchant).  Dinner on own.

Day 3  (Monday, June 24)

Optional walk to Plaza de Armas in the early morning to see some of the Inti Raymi celebration.  (Ancient Inka Sun Festival)  Then transfer to Mountain house for Wachuma ceremony.  Evening stroll to Temple of the Moon to visit sacred “rebirth” cave and watch the sun set.  Dinner and overnight Mountain House Retreat.  Special private opportunity to be inside the temple of the moon after dark and see the moon spilling on the altar!

Day 4  (Tuesday, June 25)

Depart Cusco for Sacred Valley.  Visit Moray, the Inca Salt Mines and the mystical Naupa Iglesia portal at Pachar.  Evening group meditation.

Day 5  (Wednesday, June 26)

Visit sacred sites and ruins at Ollantaytambo.  Afternoon train to Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu.  Hosted dinner at delicious Indio Feliz restaurant.

Day 6  (Thursday, June 27)

Early morning bus to Machu Picchu.  Inka Shaman Kucho will lead us in sunrise rituals and then tour and reveal the magic of Machu Picchu.  Remainder of day at leisure at Machu Picchu or surrounding town.

Day 7  (Friday, June 28)

Morning in Aguas Calientes at leisure.  Explore the market, thermal baths have a massage or stroll along the river.  Return to Cusco in the afternoon.

Day 8 (Saturday, June 29)

Wachuma ceremony at the Mountain House.  Special sessions by amazing healer Cara. Afternoon walk through the Temple of the Monkey, the Heart Stone and the mystical portal.

Day 9  (Sunday, June 30)

Visit and volunteer at the Ccochahuasi Animal Sanctuary working with the puma, bears and llamas.  A quick stop at Awana Kancha to feed alpacas.  Then on to Pisac for lunch and shopping in the bustling market.  Return to Mountain House Retreat.

Day 10  (Monday, July 1)

Wachuma ceremony at the Mountain house.  Special healing sessions with Cara. Afternoon walk to the sacred streams and mystical temple cave.

Day 11  (Tuesday, July 2)

Special Volunteer time at Hogar de Menores girls orphanage in Cusco for the highest expression of sacred service .  Remainder of day at leisure to spend in Cusco to rest or get that last minute shopping. Evening closing circle. Hosted group dinner at Tunupa Restaurant.

Day 12   (Wednesday, July 3)

Tour ends.  Depart for USA. Transport from Casa de la Gringa to Airport (included)

Day 1 (Wednesday, July 3)

Fly from Cuzco to Iquitos.  Pick up and transfer to the Amazon Rescue Center.  Lunch in Iquitos at Dawn of the Amazon cafe then boat to Padre Cocha.  Visit the Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm and Animal Orphanage.  Transfer to remote retreat center Dimenciones Espirituales.  Group circle.  Night time Aya ceremony.

Dinner:  (none in preparation for aya)

Day 2 (Thursday, July 4)

Breakfast and circle followed by boat trip on the Amazon River to Isla de los Monos.  Afternoon free for integration, relaxing in the forest and spending time “skin to fur” with the friendly free-roaming rescued monkeys that call the island home.  Transfer back to Dimensiones Espirituales for dinner.

Day 3 (Friday, July 5)

Morning transfer to Iquitos.  Then boat ride and wildlife viewing down the Amazon to the remote and beautiful Tahuayo Lodge.  Afternoon eco-friendly zip line through the top of the forest canopy to see a bird’s eye view of the wild jungle.  Dinner at the lodge.  Night time jungle walk to experience the nocturnal animals with expert wildlife guides.

Day 4 (Saturday, July 6)

Morning jungle trek to see the indigenous wild life.  Afternoon boat ride to swim with the wild Pink dolphins.  Dinner at lodge and night time jungle walk.

Day 5 (Sunday July 7)

Morning activity with the local indigenous Ribereños tribe families.  Afternoon wildlife viewing along the amazon en route to Iquitos.  Dinner at Karma Cafe and overnight in Iquitos.  Closing circle.

Day 6 (Monday July 8)

Transfer to airport in Iquitos for flight to Lima.  Catch departing flights home.
